Sky Television Direct Sales Training

This was one of the projects I worked with the delightful Karen Darby through her company Karen Darby Direct.   Karen was a star trainer and when the opportunity to work with her on her training programs I jumped at the chance, at the time I wasn’t well known for front line staff training as all of my materials was for management.  Karen was all about the delivery so we got on great, in the end she was responsible for much of the front line staff training I developed subsequent to this programs.

The undertaking was to train 200 of Sky Televisions staff in outbound selling prior to the launch of an outbound team in groups of ten providing one day to establish the foundation in selling skills.

We then had to write a team leader and coaching program and deliver these courses to all the team leaders.  The most interesting part of the work we did with Sky was to brand all of our training materials to the team name.  The outbound teams were called Viking and we undertook to brand all of our materials with Hagar the Horrible.

Needless to say but the staff were very impressed and the training project was hugely successful.
